Why Wear
I wear a Memorial Bracelet because someone I've known since childhood died on September 11th. P.O. Brian McDonnell ESU truck 1 NYPD. Now I can keep my friend alive in my heart by seeing his name every day.
I did not lose anyone I knew in the September 11th attacks, but my life changed because of it. I wear a Memorial Bracelet to remind myself how short life can be.
I am a Marine combat veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Throughout both conflicts I wore a KIA bracelet for a USA Ranger who was killed in the now famous "BlackHawk Down" battle in Somalia.
