March 20, 2003 - To free the Iraqi people from a dictator who
was feared to have weapons of mass destruction, the United States
military entered Iraqi, disarmed the regime and is helping the Iraqi
people to form their own government.

invades Kuwait on August 2, 1990. The United Nations declares war
on Iraq from January 16 - February 27, 1991 and 148 Americans die
liberating Kuwait.

In
the 1970's, we wore Prisoner of War (P.O.W.) bracelets bearing the
name of a POW or MIA. We did this to keep this person in our hearts and
minds, even if we did not know them personally. We proudly wore
these bracelets, and some still do, as a symbol of hope that the
P.O.W.'s and M.I.A.'s would return to their families alive. )
