| I wanted a bracelet because I wore a POW bracelet for years for my Vietnam soldier, he was MIA after the return. I checked on him occasionally via the net and learned recently that he is felt to have died in a plane crash that was witnessed. | | | | I have a friend that fought in Vietnam and came home. I remembered that there used to be bracelets to wear for POWs. In honor of my friend, Michael Tank, the Vietnam vet, I decided to get one to remember that not everyone came home. | | |

The United States sent Army troops to help South Vietnam fight the
Vietcong rebels and communist North Vietnamese invading their country.
This is known in the United States as the Vietnam War or Vietnam
Conflict. It was fought in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia from 1959 to
April 30, 1975. The Tet Offensive of 1968 damaged U.S. confidence and
with pressure from American anti-war activists, U.S. forces began to be
withdrawn until they were totally removed in 1973. The North
Vietnamese captured the southern capital Saigon to end the war in 1975. Below are
the Vietnam War soldiers listed as (MIA) Missing in Action.
